Short Films

We take great pride and pleasure in our short form narrative fiction and we work extremely hard to create something special on an extremely minimal schedule and budget. Please enjoy some of our short film projects below.

‘THE WELCOMING’ (2017)

A film dedicated to the Folk Horror genre and a throwback to the earlier horror films which depended more on style and tone than blood and scares. The film is designed to be more of a psychological assault on the senses, with a heavy emphasis on creating an uneasy style and atmosphere with no dialogue or diagetic sound and a terrifying score by Tony Cora (The Blair Witch Project). Let this be a lesson to those who venture off into the woods alone…

please visit the official THE WELCOMING Facebook page.

‘STAR WARS: FORCE OF EVIL’ (2015)

A Star Wars fan film, produced for the Star Wars Fan Film Awards. Starring Edward Fisher, Lexi Wolfe and Kenneth Colley (Admiral Piette from ‘THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK’ and ‘RETURN OF THE JEDI’). A disillusioned Private Investigator is given the opportunity to alter his monotomous lifestyle and assist a beautiful, but mysterious, woman in her escape from the evil clutches of the Galactic Empire. But all is not what it seems.

‘THE LEGEND OF THE MAD AXEMAN’ (2014)

A short film made as a special Halloween treat for our fans, but also as a promotion tool to gain interest in the production of our debut feature film. The Legend begins here…

Winner of The Kent Film Festival Best Drama/Fiction Trophy. 2014.

Official Selections:                                                                                                                                                   Frightfest Halloween All-Nighter 2014 (London) – The Kent Film Festival 2014 (UK)

‘BEACON’ (2013)

As news reports of strange sightings in the sky are broadcast, two men find themselves in the midst of an alien invasion. Soon their paths will cross and the truth will be revealed. A Sci-Fi spectacular, starring Justin Courtney and Ben Shockley.

Winner of The Kent Film Festival Best Drama/Fiction Trophy and Best Actors Award for Justin Courtney & Ben Shockley. 2014.

‘REGULBIUM’ (2013)

A short non-narrative experimental film, explorating the link between past and present, highlighting how local history surrounds us but is largely unnoticed. With imagination it is possible to reach out and touch something that was tangible in the 18th century. The past and present can both share the same space and there is a direct link between the two.

Winner of The Kent Film Festival Trophy. 2013.

‘VIEWING’ (2013)

Our homage to the Found-Footage genre. The film was made as an example of how Found-Footage can work in a short form narrative. A young couple, Jason (Justin Courtney) and Emma (Ella Mae) are looking to sell their property and with Emma’s new camera they decide that making a video tour of the house would be an excellent idea.

‘MURDER IN MIND’ (2010)

Miriam Haines (Alyssa Burnett) has been found murdered and the only suspect is her boyfriend Brandon Shaw (Justin Courtney). Officers Stebbins (Craig Ginn) and Granger (John Rye) are joined by Dr. Philip Morgan (Chris Tandy), a psychologist on the case to find the truth behind the murder. All the evidence points to Brandon, but he has no recollection of the events surrounding the death.

Highly Commended for a Fiction/Drama. The Kent FilmFestival. 2010.

‘BLOOD RELATIVE’ (2008)

A 48 hour film challenge, experimenting with a PhotoAnimation style. A girl (Sarah Jane Phillips) receives a mysterious letter from her Auntie, asking her to pay a visit to the old family home. She decides to take the trip and on her journey she remembers her old life at the house. But what will she find when she arrives, and will Auntie still be there?

Nominated for Best Special Effects. 2 Days Later Film Festival. 2008.

‘DARK ROADS’ (2008)

A slow-burning tale of revenge. The story, told in a non-linear fashion, begins as a solitary and mysterious car drifts into town, slowly as if with purpose. The car is searching for something, or someone. The car, and it’s Driver (Nick Sonnex) have returned to put things right. Their journey will take them to the edge of humanity. In this town, all roads lead to revenge.

Winner of Best Film. The Kent Film Festival. 2008.

Winner of The Star Award. B.I.A.F.F. 2009.

‘PRESENCE’ (2007)

A short film completed in 48 hours for competition. Jessica (Vickie Hobbs) is working late, alone in her office and begins to feel an unearthly ‘presence’ as unusual events begin to occur. Throughout the night we learn of a night of unfaithfulness which the ‘presence’ uses to it’s advantage. This Angel of Judgement is hell bent on tearing two people apart in a night of torment and horror.

Winner of Best Actress (Vickie Hobbs). 2 Days Later Film Festival. 2007.

Nominated for Best Cinematography & Best Editing. 2 Days Later Film Festival. 2007.
